Internship & Co-op Details:
Internship Duration: 11 weeks (Summer)
Co-op Duration: 6-month assignment (Fall and Spring)

Program Activities:

1:1 Mentorship:
Work with a TechStart Entry-Level Program member.

Paired Programming:
Collaborate with peers and access a comprehensive portfolio of self-paced trainings.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Workshops: Engage in workshops that emphasize Liberty Mutual’s inclusive culture and core values.

Intern Hackathon:
Participate in a competitive event to showcase your skills.
Intern Socials & Give Back Days: Connect with fellow interns and contribute to the community.

Entry-Level Opportunities:
As a gateway into the Technology organization, the six-month TechStart Program offers strong technical training, guiding you toward your desired career path while emphasizing Agile methodologies for skill development and networking.

Orientation & Training:
Three days of orientation followed by four weeks of technical training.

Team Assignment:
A five-month collaborative team project to apply your training.
Upon successful completion, you'll join one of Liberty Mutual’s dynamic Technology teams, gaining exposure to emerging technologies in software engineering, cybersecurity, data, configuration, infrastructure, and UI/UX.

Highlighted Projects:
The Workgrid Assistant: An award-winning chatbot that provides employees with quick answers to common questions, streamlining information retrieval and task management.

Internal Starter App:
Developed three applications to support Liberty Mutual CI Developers, including a UI reference code library for Bootstrap 4, a Spring Boot application to simplify coding, and an Angular JS tool for training purposes.

DOORS Operational Reporting Migration:
Migrated Liberty’s DevOps Operational Reporting System (DOORS) to React JS, creating a filterable artifact mapping grid and optimizing data loading speeds for better project reporting.
